about

Bach Partita No. 1 BWV 825, played by Elijah Sattler, an artist based out of Memphis, TN.

In no way is this interpretation supposed to be an exact representation of the music, but more as a form of expression of emotion with creative liberties. I personally believe that when it comes to Bach that rubato is inevitable, and that dynamics should feel natural and in the moment.
J.S. Bach's music is incredibly powerful and moving, and is regarded as one of the greatest composer's of all time, for good reason. From his mathematically precise writing, to his use of counterpoint, to his powerful motifs, and his ability to write multi-voiced pieces, yet still lacking to sound mechanical, his music serves as the perfect vehicle for the soul.
